Question: If I am above average height and weight, should the amount of each ingredient of the 3 day detox be adjusted, accordingly? I am 6’4″ and about 250lbs (fairly muscular, but could lose a few love handle inches).

    Thanks for your time.

      John\

As far as I can determine weight and height aren’t a factor with this cleanse.

  2. Neta Jones January 24, 2013 at 5:10 pm #

    Love the breakfast drink.

  3. Jen Quigley February 9, 2013 at 3:49 pm #

I have an allergy to pineapple – and suggestions about what I could use instead in the lunch drink?

  4. Mary Anne Lenio February 9, 2013 at 3:57 pm #

All I know is cranberry juice daily eliminates bladder and any urinary tract infections and is a good cleanser

For snack it says favorite drink. Does that mean any of the drinks that I use for breakfast, lunch or dinner?

      yes

This cleanse works works well. I could'nt keep the lunch drink down the first day, so I had the breakfast drink for lunch on day two and three. I still lost 7.4lbs.

  7. Anonymous March 7, 2013 at 10:29 pm #

Can the lunch drink be made in the morning and then refrigerated until lunch?

  8. Shamona Kamm March 7, 2013 at 10:34 pm #

are you supposed to drink ALL of the shake? Cause its a lot!

  11. Stephanie Raymond March 9, 2013 at 1:49 pm #

Can you use frozen fruit at all?

  12. Stefanie D. Plowman March 9, 2013 at 1:54 pm #

Looks like a good detox and only 3 days! Why did you ask if you couldn't use frozen fruit. Does it say no to?

  13. Kimberly Clark March 10, 2013 at 6:51 pm #

I couldn't finish the lunch shake the first day so today the second day I decided to I cut everything in half except the Apple and pineapple and then chilled it for a half hour. And I drank it down with no problem. The colder the better for that shake. I lost a little over a pound the first day. We'll see how many total after tomorrow.

      Kimberly-

Thanks for the tip! I will try this tomorrow as I was CHEWING the lunch shake…..then just decided to forgo it! There was NO WAY I could ‘eat’ all of that….

  14. Kimberly Clark March 10, 2013 at 6:54 pm #

I would recommend making it ahead of time but not sure that much in advance, so you chill it because this drink is better cold.

  15. Kimberly Clark March 10, 2013 at 6:55 pm #

I used frozen fruit make sure it is with no sweetening.

Does a person have to drink the bonus shake? And what if I don’t have a probiotic?

  17. joan myers March 19, 2013 at 7:26 pm #

why are 6 lamons required, when it lists 1 slice in tea and small amounts in other two drinks daily?

Anyone recommend what probiotic to use for this cleanse? I really have no clue and I don't want to spend a ton of money, but I want to get the right one. Thanks

  22. Sonya Daniel Delaney January 6, 2014 at 11:28 pm #

The list of groceries listed above is missing coconut oil. The recipe from doctoroz.com lists it. It is indeed needed in the lunch drink.

I lost 12 1/2 pounds in the three days. Feel more energized now also. Good program to start fresh before a new training regime.

I am a 56 yr African American woman who has decided to slow down my aging process as it had begun to speed up due to 70 lbs of weight gain. i figured Id better get on top of my health while it was still not too deteriorated. I don't have high blood pressure, no diabetes, no cholesterol issues to speak of, i just have slight Hypothyroidism and slight Osteoarthritis! Not bad for 56 so my god daughters and decide to get serious about juicing. so went out bought the Magic Bullet and the Nutra Bullets and became committed to juicing at least once a day after a week of careful elimination and detox. Before we started the detox process I felt very sluggish and heavy all of the time. After the week of elimination and juicing i began to immediately feel better, stronger! So I decided to investigate some more combinations of fruits and veggies that would help me feel even stronger or would give me versatility . I was juicing all of the recommended stuff Kale,Collards, Strawberries, Spinach, etc. Until i saw an ad the said "Is Kale Affecting Your Thyroid?" come to find out a lot of raw fruit and veggies slows down the Thyroid function. I just wonder Dr.Oz and all of the other programs on nutrition never mention the possible adverse reaction to even healthy alternative to eating. Im happy I did my own research who knows, had I not, my new healthy life style might have really hurt me more than helped me!

[...] It is important to plan and prepare for your cleanse, as well as to track its progress. If you answered “yes” to any of the detox questions above, and you are addressing them specifically, it is important to get initial information written down, and then continue tracking as your cleanse continues. In a journal, write down your starting information (if you are wanting to lose that stubborn weight, for instance, write down your measurements). If it helps, write down your thoughts in the journal as well, and use this as a way of removing the stress from your life. Decide your exercise regimen and how you plan on fitting this into your normal schedule, and keep in mind that you will be tired from your detox and will need to factor in that rest time as well.
